Carl Lehman Feiss (1907-1997), educator, city planner and historic preservation consultant. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1931; a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1938; and studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art under Eliel Saarinen from 1932-1935. A combined venture of the College of Arts and Science, the College of Business Administration and the College of Engineering, the School offered a 5-year bachelor degree with minors in Architecture, Physical Planning, Architectural Construction and Interior Design.
